Buddhism spread to many different countries in a peaceful manner, and it changed as it spread to those countries as well as internally in India. Between 200 BC and 100 AD in India, a form of Buddhism called Mayahana emerged from mysterious origins. Mayahana focused on the possibility of Buddha being eternal. In around 700 AD, Tantrism developed from Mayahana. It focused on sacremental action. Buddhism reached China in the 100s AD and blended with Chinese culture. This Chinese form of Buddhism spread to Kora in the 400s AD. It later spread to Japan in 600.
