The Ganges River runs from the Himalayas through valleys, mountains, and rocks. The river carries sediment from the Himalayas to the plains, making the plains very fertile. Melting ice from the Himalayas adds more water to the river.
The Indus river begins in the Himalayas and runs through Pakistan into the Arabian Sea. The Himalays and Hindu Kush keep the river's banks high. The Indus river valleys has amazing farmland due to sediment from the mountains.
